Afternoon Rock – Fundraising event

What a great Day. We exceeded our target of $2000 and handed over a cheque to Alzheimer's Australia for $2115.60.

We want to thank our Fabulous Sponsors:

Breakaway Dance Studio and the group of dancer's who showed us what Rock 'n' Roll is all about.

Lynda Roberts from RE/MAX for the inspiring Auction which she volunteered to hold on behalf of our "Silent Auction" item, it brought enthusiasm and competition to the sale which Raised a total of $1050 Dollars.

Amongst the fabulous items in the Silent Auction was a Dinner for 6 donated by the fabulous Master Chef contestant Danielle Dixon. The bidding started at $500 and rose to $800, what a Win! Danielle will be going to Genevieve's home to prepare and serve a delicious 3 course meal for Gen & 5 friends. Thank you Danielle, very generous.

Morningside Stamp & Coin for their donation of many items of Stamps and Coins

Vanja Stacey Brisbane's Fashion Blogger for Judging the Best Dress Man and Women - which was won by the matching duo Jean Mustafa and John Melhuish from the Breakaway Dance Club. Vanja also had the winning bid at the Auction for 2 Vintage outfits that "fit her like a glove". I am sure she will wear them well.

The Toowong Bridge Club and the Queensland Bridge Club for their generous Donations and John's "coin closest to the Bottle of Rum" raised a further $76.00

The Food and Raffles bought in a further $620 with raffle prizes donated by:

Gae's World of Wellness, Fernwood Gym Carindale, Jazzy Electrical, Special FX Hair Salon, Women on the Go, Steve Kilburn MP Chatsworth, Ross Vasta Federal Member for Bonner, Adrian Schrinner Deputy Mayor, Steve Minnikin Liberal Candidate Chatsworth, Elizabeth Duguid, Carindale Connect, Special Care Clothing Solutions.

A very special thank you to Jewel West and Genevieve Robey (Carindale Connect) for the huge amount of time and effort they put into the success of this Fundraiser, it would not have been as successful without them.
